Resetting Gazprom in the Golden Age of Gas

In an article in the European Energy Review, Alan Riley, professor of law at City Law School in London, says that the ‘Golden Age of Gas’ appears to provide more threats to Gazprom than opportunities. The Russian Federation and Gazprom need to construct an alternative business model to be successful in the new gas age. If the Russian Federation does not recognise the range of threats faced by Gazprom and take effective action, Russian gas will be utterly marginalised and Gazprom will lose profitability, revenue and influence.
